Twenty-six years ago God gave Bernice the vision, the desire, and the ability to put together a day for women of all ages, providing help and encouragement in the area of motherhood. Bernice, an extremely busy wife and mother, taught elementary education for 7 years. Her master's degree was useful, not only for then, but for raising seven sons and for putting together Christian Mothering Day, Autumn Alive, Winter Uplift, and organizing Thumb Christian Outreach Ministries. Bernice is married to Tom Shupe, a dairy and crop farmer.
Patty, wife of Steve, mother and grandmother. Patty handles event registration, but perhaps her greatest gift is hospitality, as many of the speakers who have been her guest will verify.
Laurie and her husband, John, are life long residents of Huron County and members of Faith Gospel Tabernacle. They have two adult children, Samuel and Breanna.
Laurie's career is in Social Work. She is the Director of Community Links, a service of Huron Behavioral Health to people with disabilities.
Laurie's love for people and desire to see souls saved is her motivation to serve on the TCOM board.
Charlotte, a retired dairy farmer and former teacher, keeps busy with many volunteer activities. She and Dave have three adult children and eleven grandchildren, as well as former foster children and foster grandchildren.

This outreach is interdenominational, the present board members worshiping at various churches within and near Huron County, Michigan.
Padgett is a clinical therapist who recently joined TCOM. She comes with a wide variety of knowledge in the mental health area. Her education includes 15 years of christian counseling and experience. She is married to Dr. Jim VanHoutteghem and they reside in Cass City with their two children, Logan and Grace.
It is a joy to serve as a Board member for TCOM. Each event is bathed in prayer and is directed by the Holy Spirit. It is our privilege as board members to see how God orchestrates each detail and to watch as He personally ministers to each person who attends.

Debra has been part of our ministry events since the first Christian Mothering Day. Since bookwork and organization are skills of Deb, she serves as our executive secretary and oversees board meetings. She is a secretary at Croswell-Lexington High School. Deb and Tom have been married for 28 years and live outside Cass City on the Cass River. Sons Dan and Cole have blessed them over the years with many joyful memories. An addition to their family last year was Lauren when she married Dan at a beautiful ceremony on Mackinac Island. Their boxer, Bruiser, rounds out their happy home!
